OUR FOUNDER
OUR FOUNDER
“ I am very fortunate to blend my passion for learning and science with working with families and seeing each child progress. There is so much joy in teaching children.” - Jennica Warner

Jennica Warner began her career in behavior analysis in 2005 while working as a skills trainer, now called a behavior technician, in Hawaii.  Jennica Warner holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.  In 2008, she earned a certificate in behavior analysis and became a board-certified behavior analyst working with children with autism and their families. In 2011, Jennica started her own company in Washington called South Sound Behavior Therapy, and by 2021, she employed more than 50 well-trained Behavior Technicians and Behavior Analysts.
At South Sound, Jennica realized to obtain the best clinical outcomes for her learners, her staff needed the best quality training possible. She brought in Behavior Analysts from all over the US and even England to train her staff and promote learning to all children under her care.

OUR INSTRUCTORS
OUR INSTRUCTORS
“I've learned that each child's treatment must be as unique as they are. My favorite part of ABA is being able to build off of each child's strengths and offer them more independence for their everyday life.” - RBT (instructor)

Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) undergo a rigorous 40-hour initial training as well as monthly training and exams to ensure quality of services.  Instructors additionally complete competencies monthly and are evaluated formally every six months to review their skill level. Our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work directly under our Founder and Clinical Director, Jennica Warner, who has been in the field of behavior analysis for nearly 20 years.  Jennica assists the ABA team with initial consultations, reviews Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs), provides monthly supervision to her team, and supervises their fieldwork as BCBAs to ensure they are supported, and the highest quality services are delivered.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH BLUE CACTUS ABA

1

DIAGNOSIS OF AUTISM

A diagnosis of Autism is usually the first step in obtaining services.

2

INSURANCE CONFIRMED

Once completed, the insurance will be confirmed, and authorization will be obtained if required.

3

INITIAL CONSULTATION

After those steps are completed, the initial consultation will be scheduled. This will be with our Founder, the team’s BCBA, and, if possible, your child's RBT/(s). During the initial consultation, the team’s BCBA will recommend a range of hours for services (this can be as low as 4-6 hours per week or as high as 35-40 hours per week), and parents will be asked for feedback and provide input on goals for their child. Assessment will also occur at this time, and the evaluation may require a few sessions.

4

INDIVIDUAL TREATMENT PLAN

An individual treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs will be created and reviewed with your family before starting services.

5

SERVICES BEGIN

ABA Therapy starts! Blue Cactus emphasizes parent education during the first six months of services and as needed after that.
